Credited Prescription Drug Training Free to Healthcare Providers

Partnership for Drug Free America, Arizona Affiliate consultant Colleen Pyra, presents prescription drug statistics to local medical professionals at Summit Regional Healthcare
The drug dangers facing youth was recently presented in an accredited training at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center, Show Low. Summit cooperated with the Navajo County Drug Project and Partnership for a Drug Free America Arizona Affiliate for the free training.
Presented by The Partnership’s consultant Colleen Pyra, healthcare professionals learned how to identify drug abuse issues and conduct short interventions during the course of regular consultation with teens. They also were privy to some of the latest research on adolescent brain development, conducted by The Partnership.
Participants received extensive materials for intervention and information for distribution in their practices.
