Is the Housing Market Starting to Pick Up in Concho, AZ?

As the “For Sale” signs come down and the brightly colored flags are removed; some of you may be wondering “What is going on with that new home on Cinder Drive?”.  Well, the home has been sold and the new home owner should be moving in soon.

Concho Home, Front Outside View

Fedora Properties listed the golf course subdivision home on the White Mountain MLS in July 2008.  They received an offer on the home in December and the home closed escrow yesterday (January 27, 2009). Fedora Properties’ sold their first spec home within 5 1/2 months of being listed on the MLS.   (This is great news since several homes throughout the White Mountains have been on the market for a year before selling.)

As the title company was preparing to record the new homeowners deed, Fedora Properties had two new home buyers contact them through their listing agent and/or email.  Dora Carr, from Dora Carr Realty, contacted Fedora Properties just before the title company said they were ready to close the home.  She stated that she had a interested home buyer who wanted to be a back up buyer if the deal was not able to close.

With home mortgage rates down, home buyers are out looking for a good quailty home.  This could be the perfect time for investors to start taking a serious look at putting in new homes in Concho, AZ.

My sister will be disappointed. Snooze you lose. :P You planning anymore spec homes in the area?

  • CarolBEE:

We have yet to determine if we are planning another spec home. This one was a wonderful experience and we met a lot of good people while we were working on it.
Concho is a great area. It’s exciting that others are finding the area and deciding to make it their home.

  • Butch:

I feel the same way about Concho, the folks who own the lot next to us are considering moving there too.

Looking forward to meeting more folks there.

Looking to buy some property from a friend in the Cedar Glutch section. Can anyone tell me something about that area?

  • CarolBEE:

    Hi Mike,

If you email me your parcel number, I can give you a little more information and email you maps of that area. Concho (at) Concholakeaz.com

    Hey Mike,

Get in touch with Dora Carr realty, she has some places listed. Also, I think electric is available, not much more?
I believe it is just before you come over the hill into Concho, right before the school? Best bet, call Dora, her number is on the web page. Good luck.

hey butch, you from hawaii?? if so good to know i may have local neibs,,, i’ve got lots in 6 and 3

  • It never ceases to amaze me that when a property sells, all the people that were “thinking” about it come out of the wood work. People need to get off the fence and buy if they are interested instead of waiting around to see if the price is going to drop again.

  • butch:

Sorry Scotty didn’t answer sooner. Yeah been here over 28 years on Maui. Look forward to meeting you if you ever are in Concho? Aloha.

    Butch
