ConchoLakeAZ.com has a New Look for the New Year!

As some of you may have noticed over the weekend, ConchoLakeAZ.com was going through some visual changes. Well…. the dust has cleared and I am officially done with all the changes on the website!
I have been putting off the updated changes for awhile, but continued blog software updates has force me to place an updated theme on your website. I’m quite proud and excited for this new look and I think you will enjoy it too. Some of the new features you will notice are:
- A Scrolling Article Feature Box - This will highlight some of the more exciting stories that you may want to read.
- Feature Video - this will allow me to place a video of interest for readers. So you may want to check it out from time to time.
- Recent Post Section - There is now a section on the website that highlights the three most recent articles from the website. This feature stands out more than the previous site, showing photos from the posts.
- Random Articles - was there a story on the site that you have not read in awhile. Take a look at the random post to help bring back the memories of past events and articles.
- Recent Comments – There is a more pronounced section for our readers recent comments. This new section will highlight the three most recent user comments (New Feature: Now showing the users gravatar).
- Next/Previous Article Links - Once you have finished reading an article, you will see a section just below the news story showing you links to other stories. These links are to the stories posted just before and just after the story you have just read. Now you have a better chance to see what you may have been missing.
- Related Posts with Excerpt - Underneath the next article links, you will see a related posts section. This section will give you links and a quick excerpt to an article that is similar to the article that you just read. (note: this section may seem a little off right now with the older posts. This should get better with the new article postings.)
- New Smileys – I know there are a few of you that enjoy using the smileys to express yourself (including me!). I love using these little guys to help express my emotions when commenting. I have upgraded the smileys to a cool, more expressive group and have also included a special “cookie monster” smiley
for some of my special readers. 
I hope you enjoy the new and improved website. We will continue to post the same great news/update stories you are accustom to reading. (ie: vacant land listings, local government updates, local events, etc….)

Hey what can I say I like cookies. Oatmeal with rasins is best. There was a time many years ago I baked great big plate sized oatmeals cookies. And man they were really good. If I ate just a few least this year I might lose a pound or two.
But I do like the new look Carol. Now ya just need to find me a cookie monster icon for my name on here.

It is on my site and works. Maybe when I tested it had not taken effect yet?
I think I have to be signed in here as ACIPRA to get the avatr to work.
I believe you can put all your emails on the gravatar website… that way when you comment using any of your email address, it will bring up your cookie monster icon. I’m excited that you have your icon now. It’s very fitting for you. Now we just need Butch to get one.
I would if I could figure it out, I am a “Unix” dude, notice the “spelling” George.
I tried, not sure if I got it?
Maybe now, only time will tell.

ACIPRA, just add your email address after your picture, go to My Account. I missed it. DUH!
well now ain;t that just like Butch to jump in the band wagon as it goes running wildly down the road with Carol and I. LOL.
Butch will not be thinking that snow is so coooool after he shovels it for a few days,weeks,months or year will he Carol.
Now what about t shorts for the first get together will we have to wear tshirts with our icons so we know who each other is????

I first had a picture of Doris and I, but didn’t ask her if I could use, copyright issues. 
She told me thanks, seems she is on the run, and doesn’t like pictures of her. Yes sweet, quiet, reserved Doris, is a known?
Oh George, no shoveling, I’ll stay inside for the thaw.
So George you shoveling?

just the front step. Driveway is fine today. It might not be by Sat. morning. Pats heading to St.Johns this morning and might have to stay till the roads all plowed.
But she got me some cookies just in case to hold me over. All alone and feeeling BLUEEE oh wait COOKIE is blue 
That is most important, have supplies so you can light the stove and kick back.
George, It’s going to be OK! Just have your wife ration the cookies. If we have to, we will send an emergency team out there to help you.
wife is sitting in a motel in St.Johns enjoying herself. I am left to ration my own cookies
and we can all see already how thats going to go can’t we?????
